Volume 8 of Art Tails, entitled "Everlasting Light", commemorates the first anniversary of the Tohoku disaster. This volume was made possible through the collaboration of Modern Art Gallery "Turnaround" of Sendai, the capital of the Tohoku district. Volume 8 introduces new works by the artists who are living in or have a strong connection with Tohoku and its artistic heritage. Foreign artists also join in this compilation with a wide variety of wonderful works, contributed in the spirit of that everlasting light we all wish to always shine on Tohoku.

ギャラリーターンアラウンド - Gallery TURNAROUND -
宮城県仙台市大手町の閑静なエリアに展開する現代アートギャラリー。2010年10月、ウラン鉱石やガイガーカウンターを並べた石川雷太の実験的なアートワークで展示をスタートして以来、青野文昭、越後しの等、先鋭的な試みを続ける現代アート作家作品を展示、紹介している。
自身も作家であるオーナーの関本欣哉は、人のつながりや信頼関係、さまざまな考え方を共有しつつ、現代アートを地元に広めていきたいと語る。ギャラリー内にはカフェHUNGAROUNDを併設し、アーティストから美術愛好家まで、地元の人々の集まるスペースにもなっている。
Modern Art Gallery "Turnaround" of Sendai, the capital of the Tohoku district.
They opened the gallery on 2010, and have made many exhibitions with new style artists. They also have a cafe called "Hungaround", and it's been a meeting point of many local artists and the fans of art.
Kinya Sekimoto, the owner of this gallery wants to promote modern art appreciation and values in the local community of Sendai and Tohoku area.
